Allisha Gray Leads Atlanta Dream Past Minnesota Lynx, 89-81

The Atlanta Dream defeated the Minnesota Lynx 89-81 at Gateway Center Arena at College Park, with Atlanta taking control for most of the game and leading for 39:00. The Dream improved to 26-14 overall and 13-7 at home, while the Lynx fell to 31-9 overall and 17-3 on the road. Atlanta’s all-time record against the Minnesota Lynx is now 16-33 overall and 9-15 at home.

The Dream started Jordin Canada, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Naz Hillmon, and Angel Reese. The starting five now has a 25-9 record. Atlanta opened the game with a 26-21 first quarter and carried a five-point advantage into the second period. The Dream added another 26 points in the second quarter, taking a 52-41 lead into halftime. Minnesota outscored Atlanta 21-19 in the third quarter, but the Dream maintained a nine-point advantage heading into the fourth. Atlanta closed out the game with an 18-19 fourth quarter to secure the 89-81 victory.

Allisha Gray led Atlanta with 23 points, shooting 8-for-16 from the field and 6-for-11 from three-point range. She also recorded 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists. Gray knocked down the 500th three-pointer of her WNBA career, becoming just the 25th player in league history to reach the milestone. Following her third steal of the night, Gray recorded 400 career steals. She also recorded her 12th career double-double and first of the 2026 season.

Gray added another season milestone with her 20th 20-plus-point game of the season, moving into second all time for single-season 20-plus-point games. She recorded a season-high 11 rebounds and a season-high six three-pointers made.

Jordin Canada finished with 16 points and 10 assists, shooting 6-for-12 from the field and 2-for-6 from three-point range. Canada recorded her seventh double-double of the season and ninth with the Dream. She currently leads the franchise in points/assists double-doubles. Canada also recorded her ninth game with 10-plus assists this season.

Rhyne Howard scored 16 points, adding three assists and two steals, while Angel Reese recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Reese shot 5-for-9 from the field and 5-for-8 from the free-throw line while also recording two assists, five personal fouls, two steals and one block. Reese now stands alone with the most double-doubles in a single season in WNBA history, with 29.

With Canada, Gray and Reese all recording double-doubles, the Dream had three players post double-doubles in the same game for the first time since September 9, 2020. The Dream also had four starters — Canada, Gray, Howard and Reese — finish with double-digit points. Naz Hillmon added seven points and three rebounds, while DeWanna Bonner saw her first minutes with the Atlanta Dream and finished with seven points and four rebounds. Izzy Borlase contributed five points in 8:04 of action.

For Minnesota, Olivia Miles led the Lynx with 21 points, shooting 7-for-14 from the field, 1-for-3 from three-point range and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. Kayla McBride and Napheesa Collier each scored 17 points. McBride shot 7-for-16 from the field and added three rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Collier finished 5-for-15 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line while recording seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Courtney Williams scored 11 points, while Natasha Howard finished with nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Atlanta shot 46.5% from the field, making 33 of 71 attempts. The Dream connected on 13 of 36 three-point attempts for 36.1% and made 10 of 14 free throws for 71.4%. Minnesota shot 42.9% from the field, going 30-for-70. The Lynx made six of 19 three-point attempts for 31.6% and went 15-for-19 from the free-throw line for 78.9%.

Atlanta finished with 37 total rebounds compared with Minnesota’s 32 and recorded 21 assists to the Lynx’s 17. The Dream also scored 40 points in the paint compared with 34 for Minnesota and held a 12-6 advantage in bench points. Atlanta’s biggest lead was 20 points, while Minnesota’s biggest lead was two. The Lynx had 11 turnovers, while Atlanta committed 18, and Minnesota scored 23 points off turnovers compared with 13 for Atlanta.

The game featured one lead change and one tie. Atlanta’s largest lead came at 49-69, while Minnesota’s largest lead came at 2-0. Atlanta closed the game with an 89-81 victory over Minnesota.
