NFL Transactions: Falcons, Bills, Rams Among Teams Making Roster Moves Saturday

The NFL Management Council released Personnel Notice No. 194-26 on Saturday, August 29, outlining the league transactions submitted that day. The notice includes waiver requests, terminations of vested veterans, two trades, free-agent signings, reserve-list additions and other transactions.

Atlanta Makes Multiple Roster Moves

The Atlanta Falcons requested waivers on seven players: wide receiver Keelan Marion, defensive tackle Devonnsha Maxwell, linebacker Daveren Rayner, guard Jaeden Roberts, tight end Joshua Simon, defensive back Keidron Smith and tackle Andrew Stueber.

Smith is listed as PS: EXC, while Marion, Maxwell, Rayner, Roberts, Simon and Stueber are listed as PS: STND.

Atlanta also terminated three vested veterans: defensive tackle Eric Johnson, linebacker Channing Tindall and guard Brandon Walton. Johnson and Tindall are listed as PS: VET, while Walton is listed as PS: EXC.

The Falcons added defensive back Darren Hall from San Diego State to the reserve list. Hall is listed as Reserve/Injured, does not count against the 90 limit and is identified as a vested veteran.

Buffalo Requests Waivers on 10 Players

The Buffalo Bills requested waivers on linebacker Cade Denhoff, defensive back Jordan Dunbar, tackle Bruno Fina, linebacker Theron Gaines, center Sincere Haynesworth, defensive tackle Zion Logue, defensive back D.J. Miller, defensive back Wande Owens, linebacker Otis Reese and wide receiver Quentin Skinner.

Otis Reese is listed as PS: EXC, while the other players are listed as PS: STND. Bruno Fina is also listed with a partially guaranteed contract.

Buffalo also terminated wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Dante Pettis, along with tight end Shane Zylstra. All three are listed as PS: VET.

Carolina Has Seven Waiver Requests

Carolina requested waivers on defensive tackle Kyon Barrs, wide receiver Elijah Cooks, running back Miles Davis, tackle Ryan Hayes, defensive tackle Tywone Malone, tight end Caden Prieskorn and wide receiver Roc Taylor.

Cooks is listed as PS: EXC, while the other players are listed as PS: STND. Hayes is marked injured.

The Panthers also terminated wide receiver Dan Chisena, who is listed as PS: VET. The transaction notes that Chisena was from Reserve/Injured and received an injury settlement.

Rams Make Multiple Moves

The Los Angeles Rams requested waivers on 12 players: defensive back Alex Cook, linebacker Devean Deal, wide receiver Tru Edwards, defensive back Steven Gilmore, defensive back Al’zillion Hamilton, tackle Bryce Henderson, linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, defensive back Alex Johnson, tight end Rohan Jones, defensive back Nate Valcarcel, tight end Dan Villari and defensive tackle Payton Zdroik.

Cook is listed as PS: EXC, while the remaining players are listed as PS: STND. Alex Johnson is marked injured.

The Rams also terminated linebacker Tomon Fox and linebacker Monty Rice, both listed as PS: VET.

The Rams added quarterback Matthew Caldwell from Texas to the reserve list.

Miami Requests Waivers on 12 Players

Miami requested waivers on defensive back Alex Austin, running back Coleman Bennett, tackle Kevin Cline, defensive end Seth Coleman, tight end Ethan Conner, linebacker Stephen Dix, running back Donovan Edwards, defensive tackle Alex Huntley, defensive back Louis Moore, defensive tackle Cam Rice, linebacker Jaheim Thomas and wide receiver Theo Wease.

Austin is listed as PS: VET, while the other players are listed as PS: STND.

Pittsburgh Requests Waivers on 12 Players

Pittsburgh requested waivers on tight end Jaheim Bell, center Greg Crippen, defensive back Jaylon Guilbeau, defensive back Jack Henderson, defensive back Brandon Hill, wide receiver Jakobie Keeney-James, defensive back Tamon Lynum, defensive back Daryl Porter, wide receiver Cornell Powell, running back Alex Tecza, wide receiver Levi Wentz and wide receiver Isaiah Winstead.

Bell is listed as PS: EXC, while the remaining players are listed as PS: STND.

The Steelers also terminated linebacker Jamin Davis, who is listed as PS: VET.

Other Waiver Requests

Green Bay requested waivers on defensive back Tra Fluellen.

Seattle requested waivers on tackle Derrick Graham.

Two Trades Listed

The notice includes two trades.

In trade No. 76, Baltimore traded defensive tackle Basil Okoye, listed as having attended no college, to the New York Giants for a seventh-round selection in the 2028 NFL Draft.

In trade No. 77, Arizona traded running back Corey Kiner from Cincinnati to New England for a seventh-round selection in the 2028 NFL Draft from New Orleans.

Free-Agent Signings

Green Bay signed tight end Jonnu Smith from Florida International.

Seattle signed defensive back Terrion Arnold from Alabama.

Additional Transactions

New England terminated running back Hassan Haskins, listed as PS: VET.

Philadelphia terminated defensive back Tariq Castro-Fields, listed as PS: STND. The transaction notes that he was from Reserve/Injured and received an injury settlement.

Baltimore had Basil Okoye’s roster exemption lifted, meaning he counts on the active list. The notice lists him as coming from Exempt/International Player and also refers to the trade involving him.

Philadelphia also listed a tryout for defensive end Mason Reiger from Wisconsin.

The claiming deadline for the waiver requests is 1:00 p.m. New York time on Monday, August 31, 2026.
