JuJu Watkins, Chicago Sky, and National Partners to Host Basketball and Leadership Clinic for More Than 100 Chicago Girls

More than 100 girls from across the Chicago area will have the opportunity to learn from some of basketball’s biggest names during the Line ‘Em Up clinic on Friday, July 24, at Robichaux Park.

The event is a collaborative effort between the Women’s Sports Foundation, Delta Air Lines, Gatorade Fuel Tomorrow, ESPN’s Take Back Sports initiative, the Chicago Sky Foundation, and the WNBA All-Star 2026 Host Committee. Designed for girls ages 8–15, the clinic will combine basketball instruction with leadership development and mentorship.

The afternoon will begin with a panel discussion featuring USC standout and Gatorade athlete JuJu Watkins alongside Chicago Sky forward Maddy Westbeld. The conversation will be moderated by ESPN college basketball analyst Brooke Weisbrod, giving participants the opportunity to hear firsthand about the athletes’ basketball journeys, leadership experiences, and advice for the next generation of players. Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session.

Following the panel, participants will join the athletes on the court for basketball instruction and leadership workshops designed to develop their skills while promoting confidence, teamwork, and personal growth.

The event will also feature a ceremonial ribbon cutting and the unveiling of a newly painted WNBA Fire Orange 3-point line. The court enhancement is part of the WNBA’s Line ‘Em Up initiative, which promotes visibility and equity for girls and women in basketball by painting the league’s signature Fire Orange 3-point line on public courts across the country. The Chicago activations are being held in conjunction with AT&T WNBA All-Star 2026.

The Fire Orange court also supports the Chicago Sky Foundation’s mission to paint 30 courts throughout Chicago by the end of the year, creating more opportunities for young athletes to play and engage with the game.

Media attending the event will have opportunities to cover the athlete panel, ribbon-cutting ceremony, basketball instruction, leadership workshops, group photos with more than 100 participants, and interviews with athletes and event partners.

Additional participants include Chicago Sky Foundation Executive Director Awvee Storey, Chicago Sky Co-owner and Operating Chairman Nadia Rawlinson, and Women’s Sports Foundation Chief Executive Officer Danette Leighton.

The Line ‘Em Up clinic will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at Robichaux Park, located at 9247 S. Eggleston Ave. on Chicago’s South Side.
