More than 500 people showed up to make history with the grand opening of Jolene Jolene, Atlanta’s first-ever sports bar built around women’s sports. With a new residency at Brick + Mortar, the bar officially opened its doors this week, cementing its place as a cultural and community hub for sports fans across the spectrum.
Owned and founded by Chelsea Fishman, Jolene Jolene represents more than just a space — it’s the culmination of a year-long journey to create a dedicated home for women’s sports in the heart of Atlanta.

“This wasn’t just about opening a bar,” said Fishman. “It was about creating a space where women’s sports are respected, prioritized, and celebrated. We’ve been working tirelessly to bring this to life, and to see the support from the city — it’s been overwhelming in the best way.”
Open Wednesday through Sunday, Jolene Jolene is more than a watch party spot. It’s a place where community, culture, and competition intersect. From day one, the bar has hosted watch parties, meet-ups, and sports-centered events — even before its official launch. Now, with a permanent location and full calendar, it’s poised to be the go-to for fans of the WNBA, women’s soccer, NCAA women’s sports, and more.
And no — it’s not just for women.

The bar’s mission is to uplift women’s sports, but everyone is welcome, including families, kids, and yes — even pets. The bar itself is named after Fishman’s cat, Jolene, who also happens to be the official mascot and occasional guest of honor.
The grand opening event featured live music, games, a necklace-making station, merchandise, fellowship, and much more. KB had a chance to talk to a few patrons who were excited that a women’s sports bar is now in Atlanta.
Milford, proudly wearing a Crystal Dunn jersey, shared what the moment meant to him.
“Men need to put their ego to the side and just watch women’s sports,” he said. “You’ll realize real quick how talented these athletes are.”
We also spoke with Kelly, the first customer in line on opening day. She beamed with excitement about being part of the historic moment and reflected on how players like Chris Evert shaped her love for sports. Being the first through the door was a full-circle moment she didn’t want to miss.

There is so much in store for Jolene Jolene. They will also be a part of the Women’s Sports Bar Tour set for 2025, presented by KB Sports Media and hosted by KB. This 8-city stop tour will highlight the growing number of women’s bars across the U.S.
