It was announced Tuesday that Louis Boudon, forward for the Atlanta Gladiators, has been named to France’s Olympic National Team and will represent his country at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.
Boudon, a native of Grenoble, France, has enjoyed an outstanding start to his first season with the Gladiators and is on pace for a career year. Through 25 games, the 27-year-old forward has recorded 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points, averaging more than a point per game. He currently leads all Gladiators skaters in scoring, ranks fourth in the ECHL, and leads the league with five game-winning goals.
Prior to the holiday break, Boudon was red hot offensively, scoring five goals in his final three games, including a hat trick against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

Now in his third full season of professional hockey, Boudon is no stranger to international competition. He has represented France in two World Junior Championships and four IIHF World Hockey Championships. In 100 career international games with Team France, Boudon has tallied 11 goals and 20 assists. Most recently, he competed at the 2025 IIHF World Hockey Championship, scoring one goal in seven games.
“Representing France at the Olympic Games is the greatest honor of my career,” Boudon said. “Wearing the national jersey and competing for my country on the world’s biggest stage is something I’ve dreamed about since I was a kid. I’m very proud and grateful for the opportunity.”
Gladiators head coach Matt Ginn expressed his excitement for Boudon’s achievement.
“As a team and an organization, we are thrilled for Louis,” Ginn said. “To be able to represent your country on the biggest stage in the Olympics is a tremendous honor and one that Louis is fully deserving of. He’s been a great player for us, along with being a great person, teammate, and leader for our group. We are excited to cheer Louis on—when they aren’t playing Canada.”

The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 6 through February 22 in Milan, Italy. France will open preliminary-round play against Switzerland on February 12 and will compete in Group A alongside Canada, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. The French men’s hockey team will be making its first Olympic appearance since 2002, when it finished 14th at the Salt Lake City Games. The XXV Olympic Winter Games will be broadcast nationally in the United States on NBC and Peacock.
The Atlanta Gladiators are the proud ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators and the Milwaukee Admirals, and have provided professional hockey and family-friendly entertainment to the greater Atlanta area since 2003.
