Seven different Aggies scored in the opening period, and A&M closed it on a 12-3 run that ended when Pien Steenbergen knocked down a three at the buzzer to make it 24-9 after the first quarter.

The pressure didn’t let up in the second quarter, as Texas A&M turned seven Privateer turnovers into nine points. LSU New Orleans opened the second half with a run that cut the lead to 46-30 and forced an Aggie timeout. The Privateers kept chipping away behind Rhian Comery, winning the third quarter 26-20, but Texas A&M held on to its double-digit cushion and went into the fourth quarter up 64-48.

The Aggies put the game away early in the fourth with an 11-4 run, highlighted by two Rieyan DeSouze 3-pointers that forced a Privateer timeout with A&M up 75-52.
