Swarm to Begin Season on the Road Against Buffalo Before Returning Home in January; Full Schedule to Be Announced Tuesday
The Georgia Swarm Professional Lacrosse Team announced today that it will open its 2026–27 home schedule on Saturday, January 9, at Gas South Arena, Duluth, Ga.
Georgia will begin the 2026–27 National Lacrosse League season on the road over Thanksgiving weekend, traveling to face the Buffalo Bandits.

The later-than-usual home opener comes during a unique stretch in the NLL calendar, with the league pausing play in December for a Sixes competition on December 12. The event will feature four teams competing in the sixes format, which will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Georgia Swarm Head Coach Ed Comeau will lead Team Canada, with several Swarm players also expected to participate.
Following the December competition, the Swarm will return their focus to the 2026–27 NLL season and their January 9 home opener at Gas South Arena.
The Swarm will announce the complete 2026–27 season schedule on Tuesday, revealing the full schedule of home and road games, including game dates and opponents.

The January 9 home opener will mark the Georgia Swarm’s 11th season in the Metro Atlanta area.
Georgia enters the 2026–27 season following a 2025–26campaign that saw the Swarm return to the NLL Playoffs and advance to the NLL Semifinals.
Additional information on the 2026–27 Georgia Swarm season, including tickets, theme nights and fan experiences, will be announced in the coming weeks.
