While the Georgia Swarm continue their postseason run, several members of the organization are also earning recognition away from the floor following standout performances during the 2025–26 season.
Inside Lacrosse announced its IL Indoor Year End Awards this week, with multiple Swarm players taking home honors after helping guide Georgia back into championship contention. The awards are voted on by IL Indoor and Inside Lacrosse media members and are separate from the league’s official NLL awards.
Leading the way was Brett Dobson, who earned both IL Indoor MVP and Goaltender of the Year honors after a season that placed him among the league’s top players regardless of position. Dobson consistently delivered in big moments throughout the year and became one of the driving forces behind Georgia’s success.
Dobson is also in the running for two official NLL honors as a finalist for both MVP and Goaltender of the Year. Despite the recognition, Dobson told KB Sports Media his focus remains on winning a championship.
Veteran leader Jordan MacIntosh added another achievement to his long career after being named IL Indoor Transition Player of the Year. The award marks the third time MacIntosh has received the honor, previously winning it in 2013 and 2014. He has also been named a finalist for the NLL Transition Player of the Year Award.
On the defensive side, Jacob Hickey earned IL Indoor Unsung Hero of the Year honors for his consistent impact throughout the season. Hickey routinely handled difficult defensive assignments and became one of the team’s most dependable players in critical situations.
“What an amazing accomplishment for Jordan,” said John Arlotta. “To earn this recognition again later in his career speaks volumes about the player and person he is.”
The Swarm also have several representatives among the finalists for the league’s official NLL Awards:
• Brett Dobson — NLL MVP finalist and Goaltender of the Year finalist
• Jordan MacIntosh — Transition Player of the Year finalist
• Ed Comeau — Coach of the Year finalist
• Nolan Byrne — Rookie of the Year finalist
• Michael Grace — Rookie of the Year finalist
Georgia now shifts its focus back to the playoffs as the Swarm prepare for Game 2 of the 2026 NLL Semifinals against the Halifax Thunderbirds on Friday, May 9, at Scotiabank Centre. Faceoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. EDT.
