Fresh off a commanding weekend sweep of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and riding a three game winning streak, the Atlanta Gladiators shift their focus to a tough three game stretch against the Jacksonville Icemen. The series begins Friday evening in the Sunshine State and marks the first time this season Atlanta will play three games in three consecutive days.

Atlanta enters the weekend at 12-4 overall after finishing November with an impressive 8-4 month. Their presence at Gas South Arena has been dominant. The team improved to 8-2 at home after going 4-1 during their recent five game homestand. Now the challenge becomes translating that momentum to the road, where five of the next six games will take place.

The Gladiators have been steady away from Duluth, carrying a 4-2 road record into the weekend. They have split their two trips to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena this season, including a 5-2 win on November 7 and a narrow 2-1 loss on November 15. Friday will be the sixty ninth all time meeting between the two clubs, with Atlanta holding a 35-26-7 advantage in the series.

This weekend also marks the first of ten stretches this season in which Atlanta will play three games in three days. Managing the physical grind and quick turnarounds will be an important test for a team that has shown early season consistency.
