The Speedy Turtles closed out their TST 2025 group stage on a high note Friday night, earning their first win of the tournament with a sharp 2-0 performance over Albion SC at WakeMed Soccer Park.
After two hard-fought but frustrating matches, the Turtles turned the cornerāplaying with urgency, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose from kickoff to Target Score Time.

It started early with a perfectly timed run by Kayla Bruster, who finished off a crisp assist from Rachel Jones just over five minutes into the match. That opening goal gave the Turtles the edge they needed and a surge of confidence they didnāt let go of.
The final blow came during Target Score Time, when Monigo Karnley created space and delivered the clincher, lifting the Turtles to a 2-0 win.
On the defensive end, Kyleigh Hall was nothing short of spectacular. The goalkeeper recorded 10 saves and kept a clean sheet against a relentless Albion attack that tallied 15 shots on the night.

From front to back, the Turtles delivered. Whether it was the solid backline presence of Alyssa Beck, the midfield hustle from Sarah Martin, or the energy off the bench, every player contributed to the statement win.
While the result may not have been enough to push them into knockout play, the Speedy Turtles left no doubt: they belonged in this tournament, and theyāve got a foundation to build on.
